La Fattoria di Tirrenia

“A long strip of uncontaminated pine forest, a beach, a fort called Mezza Piaggia unite Pisa and Livorno on the sea. The only sporadic inhabitants were hunters and fishermen, for the rest it is silence…”

As a counterpoint to the elegance of the beaches, the vast agricultural estate called Fattoria di Tirrenia extends behind the town, formerly owned by the counts Gabrielli di Quercita, an example of rationalist architecture…

La Fattoria del Latte

The farm, designed by the first owner, engineer Gabrielli was born as a farm for the production of milk and the transformation into diary products.

With its 700 cows it has represented for years a point of reference for national animal husbandry.

Our Productions

The farm with its 300 has chosen to move towards eco-sustainable productions starting the conversion to organic.

Agriculture is increasingly an active part in the fight against climate change and the organic method that better than others can mitigate emissions and allow soils and crops to adapt more effectively to climate change.

Small productions were then started like the one of oil and hosting beekeepers for the one of oil.
